Witness world-class public golf courses in Bridport and marvel at the orange fringed rocks of St Helens and Bay of Fires. Let the beauty of Freycinet National Park momentarily take your breath away before exploring Tasmania’s picturesque capital and surrounds. Make your way back up the rugged west coast and experience the fierce waters of Hells Gate in Strahan before putting on your hiking boots and exploring the sheer wonder of Cradle Mountain. Finish this tour back in laidback ‘Launnie’ and enjoy a fresh seafood platter at Kings Wharf.

Day 1: Launceston

Visit the charming Penny Royal or enjoy the Country Club Casino. Dive into the nearby Tamar River region and enjoy some of the state’s best wineries including the popular Josef Chromy. Spend the afternoon at the city’s laidback seaport and experience outstanding cafes and restaurants with great views.

Day 2: Launceston

Explore the scenic Cataract Gorge just two minutes outside of Launceston’s CBD with its many walking trails and bike tracks.  Take a ride in the world’s largest single span chairlift and experience magnificent views of the surrounds.

Day 3: Launceston to Bridport 

Explore the rugged coastline of Bridport with its many fishing, boating and swimming hot spots.  Visit the nearby Lavender Farm and purchase some delightful local creations. Stop by Barnbougle Dunes Golf Course, Australia’s best public golf course.

Day 4: Bridport to St Helens 

Enjoy a hearty meal in the historic Pub in the Paddock and see local memorabilia. Take a walk to nearby Eddystone Lighthouse and enjoy the natural beauty of Mt William National Park. Make the short trip to spectacular Bay of Fires or Binalong Bay and marvel at pristine Tasmanian coastline.

Day 5: St Helens to Freycinet 

Experience a late afternoon walk around Coles Bay and stand before the looming Hazards before enjoying a meal in the cosy local tavern. Watch the sun set from the Coles Bay jetty.

Day 6: Freycinet 

Spend the day exploring Freycinet National Park and enjoy breathtaking views from the famous Wine Glass Bay Lookout. Walk the circuit track and marvel at unspoilt coastline, rugged native forests and an array of Tasmanian wildlife. Spend the afternoon exploring the many walking tracks of the area.

Day 7: Freycinet to Port Arthur

Visit Australia’s most significant open air museum, a World Heritage Listed site and experience a slice of convict history. Take a guided tour of the ruins or later be part of an eerie paranormal investigation. See Tasmania’s first operational mine or enjoy a popular Tasman Island Cruise and witness dolphins, whales and the magnificent rugged Tasmanian coastline.

Day 8: Port Arthur to Richmond

Visit the oldest bridge and gaol in Australia built by convicts in the early 1800s or witness Hobart in the 1820s at the intricate Hobart Town Historical Model Village. Peruse the many galleries, antique stores and arts and crafts and stop by Sweets and Treats to sample some old style lollies with good old fashioned service. On the way stop at one of the unique wineries in the Coal River Valley and enjoy a luxurious long lunch and crisp local wines.

Day 9: Richmond to Hobart

Discover the stunning natural capital of Australia’s Apple Isle. Enjoy a walk through historic Salamanca and Battery Point and sip on a coffee at one of the many top-notch cafes. Stroll around the picturesque wharf and take a boat trip to the world-famous Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), the largest privately funded Museum in Australia.

Day 10: Hobart

Venture up Mount Wellington and experience spectacular panoramic views of the city from 1271 metres above sea level. Take a drive outside the city to the Huon and walk amongst the trees at the Tahune AirWalk, whizz down the Eagle Glider, sample the fresh local produce and visit one of the many boutique wineries.

Day 11: Hobart to Strahan

Walk around the scenic Macquarie Harbour and witness Strahan’s historical buildings. Travel a short distance to the white sands of magnificent Ocean Beach or take an adventurous half-day fast jet boat ride up King River.

Day 12: Strahan

Hop on one of the famed Gordon River Cruises and navigate through one of the most unspoilt World Heritage areas on earth. Take a trip to nearby Hell’s Gates and visit the iconic light house.

Day 13: Strahan to Cradle Mountain 

Take time to experience the beauty of Cradle Mountain. Walk around stunning Dove Lake and immerse yourself in rugged Tasmanian Wilderness. Spend the afternoon at the local lodge cosied up beside a roaring fire.

Day 14: Cradle Mountain to Launceston 

Stop in the charming town of Sheffield and visit the magnificent murals that are dotted throughout the streets. Enjoy a glass of wine in the wonderful Tamar wine region before heading back to Launceston.
