Stop at idyllic Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie before arriving in bustling Sydney with its world famous harbour. Spend a peaceful few days around the lakes of Victoria enjoying local seafood delights before arriving in Australia’s fashion capital of Melbourne. Continue on to country Victoria with its rugged landscape, see the Big Guitar in Tamworth and arrive back in sub-tropical Brisbane in time for a relaxing afternoon in vibrant South Bank.

Day 1: Brisbane

Explore the sub-tropical capital of Queensland. Take a stroll along leafy South Bank and sit at one of the many cafes, ride the Giant Observation Wheel for panoramic views or dip your feet in the country’s only street beach. Visit Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and cuddle a furry friend or take the kids to the nearby Australia Zoo and keep your eye out for the famous Irwin family. Cruise down the Brisbane River on a half an hour tour of the city.

Day 2: Brisbane to the Gold Coast

Get lost in Pacific Fair, the giant shopping complex or visit Jupiter’s Casino for entertainment and dining. Relax at laidback Broadbeach and ritzy Surfers Paradise or take a short trip to one of the area’s fun-filled theme parks: WB Movie World, Sea World, Dreamworld and Wet ‘n’ Wild.

Day 3: The Gold Coast to Coffs Harbour

Day 6: Sydney to Eden

Day 7: Eden to Lakes Entrance

Experience Australia’s largest inland network of waterways at idyllic Lakes Entrance in Gippsland. Absorb the town’s seaside charm and explore the beautiful Ninety Mile Beach. Sample the exquisite seafood of Australia’s Seafood Capital from one of the great local restaurants and spend the day exploring the lakes by boat, paddleboat or catamaran.

Day 8: Lakes Entrance to Melbourne

Be absorbed by this bustling metropolitan area. Enjoy lunch in the city’s quirky DeWitt Street, visit hip St Kilda with its leafy street cafes and iconic Luna Park. Day 9: Melbourne to Shepparton

Day 10: Shepparton to Wagga Wagga

Day 11: Wagga Wagga to Dubbo

Day 13: Tamworth to Toowoomba
