The Cruisin Sandpiper campervan my wife and I hired was great and met all our expectations and requirements for a 5 night Bruny Island camping adventure with other members of our family. The Sandpiper was in excellent condition, well equipped, easy to drive and provided a very pleasing level of comfort within the limits of the van.
The only minor concerns we had were: there was a fork short in the cutlery, the toilet we suspect was not properly emptied and it appeared no chemical dosing added (....we assume by the previous people who had hired the van and not appropriately followed the conditions of hire) and finally, the fridge instructions provided in the Cruisin manual, and also on the Cruisin website video, did not apply to the fridge in the van we had. We phoned the Cruisin afterhours number about the fridge issue and spoke to a very friendly and helpful person who advised us further on the updated fridge now fitted and set our concerns at ease.
The hire cost with full insurance for these vans is not that cheap but from our experience we felt we received good value for money. We also found the Cruisin staff a Cambridge to be very friendly, helpful and efficient. Thank you.

My partner and I took the Rover to QLD and back, and we were incredibly happy with the booking process, the price and coverage options, the service during pick up and drop off, and the quality of the vehicle itself.
We searched for a motorhome to do this trip in for weeks and stumbled upon Cruisin and were drawn in by the good ratings and reviews. Although the prices were a little higher than those of other companies, it was well worth it! We had a brand new van with 15,000km on it and no issues (minus a minor ant problem). It was well equipped and the manual (book provided and video) was easy to follow even for newbies like us.
The service was great! Very easy and professional. We noticed a few minor dents and scratches and they were very good about reporting on this so we had no issues at drop off. Also very good with answering questions.
I would suggest reading the contract as there are some fine print points we would have otherwise missed.
Overall, very pleased with our experience and we would recommend!

The pick up and drop off process was fast and efficient. The van well equipped (perhaps just missing an airing rack/small clothesline to help dry towels). The van was given to us missing the latch that secures the door open, which was most inconvenient and should have been fixed before hiring to us, we had to have both doors closed at all times to avoid damage to the vehicle from the wind: We had a question along the road around a dashboard light and the roadside support line was most helpful. We weren’t aware of how noisy it is to travel in a motorhome, we called it the “rattler” but everything seemed packed well and we could not fix it and just got used to the travel noise. Overall a great experience on our few weeks around Tasmania as a family of 5.

A decent first experience with renting a medium-sized motorhome through Cruisin. AlthoughI have driven smaller campervans in the past, this was my first experience with a larger vehicle, and parts of the experience I found challenging as there was a lot to learn. In particular, there was an issue with the fuel cap that had been replaced so tightly by the previous customer that I could not easily remove it. This turned out to be quite time-consuming to resolve, and also made me feel a bit 'stupid' for having to report such a problem. But apart from that, I learnt a lot from the five day rental. Many thanks.

Great vehicle and generally good communications - let down by a poor air conditioning (it dropped water on the bed every night), which was blamed on Queensland weather. QLD is known to be hot and humid in the Summer months, so why the surprise?
Worse though was their customer service team who reassured us that the problem would be fixed after the end of our booking - which is totally unhelpful to us!
So, in conclusion, great van, great sales etc team, let down by one major issue, and the way it was handled.

We got a 2 berth camper van . It’s very comfortable for 2 , efficiently laid out , however the suspension doesn’t exist - we can feel all the road bumps And it’s noisy vibrating noise . It’s great when you park for a while in front of a river or beach .

While overall good experience, the motorhome we got had one issue (airbag warning light was on) and when we contacted them, they did not seem to understand the significance of the issue, and even said that they know about it. Their recommendation was to continue driving and they only returned us with a solution the next day. Anyway, motorhome was new and gave plenty information how to use it and all its equipment. Also both pick-up and drop off were smooth.
