Things To Consider Before Booking

Before you book a motorhome with Cruisin’, we suggest checking out our location pages, vehicle pages, and liability options.

Are you ready to start planning your holiday? Great! Your next step is to jump onto our booking form. If you’re still in early planning mode you mightn’t be 100% sure on your dates, but not to worry because we offer free quotes.

Quotes are only valid for 7 days, and some of the offers on our website are time-sensitive, so if you’ve got a great deal make sure you snatch it up.

To lock in your holiday and secure your motorhome, we’ll just need a $300 deposit.

You can pay the remaining rental amount when you pick up your vehicle, which means you’re free to focus on planning your itinerary!

No, all you need is a current and full driver’s licence. You are aged between 21 and 79 years of age. We will need to see your license when you collect your motorhome.

Please note If your licence is not in English, you will need to obtain an international driving permit or an official license translation.

Absolutely! Check out the user guides on our YouTube channel.

We’ve got plenty more information about vanlife on our travel blog, and you’ll find tips and tricks on our social media accounts.

Yes, but it depends on the age and height of your children.

Cruisin’ motorhomes are fitted with two anchor points in the rear, which means we can install up to two approved child seats (for children under 7 years old).

If you have three or more children under 7 years of age, unfortunately, you will not be able to hire a motorhome, as only two child seats can be safely installed.

Children aged over 145cm do not require a booster seat. Those between 100–145cm may use a booster but not a child seat.

Cruisin’ does not supply baby seats for infants under 6 months of age.

Please read our guidelines: Child & Booster Seat Guide

Unfortunately, the motorhomes at Cruisin’ do not have wheelchair access.

If you need to cancel your rental, there may be a cancellation fee. The amount you will be charged depends on the following:

  • If cancelled up to 29+ days prior to pick up – No Fee
  • If cancelled 28 to 7 days prior to pick up – 25% of total rental
  • If cancelled 6 to 1 days prior to pick up – 50% of total rental
  • If cancelled on the day of pick up or ‘No Show’ – 100% of total rental

Please note: There is no refund for late vehicle pick-ups or early returns.

No. Unfortunately, we do not accept medical certificates as a reason to waive cancellation fees. Our standard cancellation policy applies to all bookings.

Yes. All Cruisin’ rentals are charged on a calendar day basis. This means the pick-up day and return day are each counted as a full hire day, regardless of the time.

Yes! Consecutive rentals with Cruisin’ and GoCheap can also be combined to qualify for a 10% Long Term Discount.

Check our terms and conditions for more details about consecutive rentals and charges.

The length of your holiday will depend on factors such as destination and budget. Researching before you book your trip will help you estimate how much time you need to see everything!

If you are looking at insurance, we strongly recommend that you take out the highest level of travel insurance for things like flights, injuries, unexpected medical emergencies or natural disasters (e.g. fires, flooding…) and luggage. You can never go wrong with peace of mind.

All transactions will be made in Australian Dollars (AUD).

For more information, please see our Terms & Conditions page on Currency Variation and Exchange Rates.

Yes, you can. However, we recommend staying at a paid campsite every second night to make sure the motorhome’s batteries are full.

Note that the microwave, heating/AC systems and power outlets will ONLY work when the vehicle is plugged into main power. For more information, please go to the Camping & National Park FAQs section
