Best Campsites and Camp Grounds In Queensland

Queensland, the sunshine state, is Australia's tropical capital. Being the second largest state in Australia, it is home to the world-famous Great Barrier Reef, ancient rainforests, and some of Australia's whitest sands. Although Queensland has many large towns and cities such as Brisbane, Cairns, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Townsville, most of the sunshine state is still regional and boasts some beautiful remote locations. Why visit Queensland? Because of its beautiful scenery, excellent surfing coastline, vibrant art scene, scuba diving, whale watching and great camping facilities.

Campsites maintained by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are in excellent locations and have basic facilities required for camping. Please make sure that you get your vehicle permit and camping permit before going.

Please note that we recommend staying at a powered campsite every second night to charge up all the motorhome batteries, and for you to be able to use all the appliances (microwave, power points and AC/Heating system will only work when the motorhome is plugged to main power 240V).
