Built with a focus on modern and functional design, this nifty little motorhome prioritises use of space. On the road, the Cruisin’ 2 Berth Rover is a breeze! The driver’s cabin is cosy, with plenty of leg space for you and your companion. Again, the highlight is the motorhome’s modern design. You’ll discover plenty of new additions such as a rearview camera and an in-built audio system with Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth support for all your music needs.

There are also two USB ports, so your phone will be charged and ready to go when you spot somewhere that you absolutely need to pull over and snap a picture of.

The Cruisin’ 2 Berth Rover is the champion of manoeuvrability, and its smaller size will make it your best friend when navigating the urban tragedy of inner-city parking. Thanks to the rear parking camera, you’ll be able to scoot yourself into any parking spot – just make sure to watch your height and avoid any enclosed parking complexes! A motorhome is much taller than a normal car, and we don’t want you to get stuck at any point during your holiday.

This motorhome is built on an LDV chassis with extra headroom, making it 3.2 metres in height – just something to remember when you’re on the hunt for parking.

Now let’s talk power! Making use of the abundance of sunshine, this Australian motorhome hire is fitted with solar panels – which is perfect if you’re planning to free camp on your holiday. We still recommend stopping into a powered campsite every second day – but more on that in a moment.

So how does the power supply work in a rental motorhome? You’ve got three sources of power, including gas (LPG), 240v mains power, and 12v house batteries. Gas is perhaps the easiest one to understand since it only ignites the 2-burner gas stove for cooking and is sometimes used to keep your water warm.

Whilst you’re at a powered campsite, you’ll be able to set up the 240v mains power and fresh water supply to your motorhome. All the required cables (such as a 15 amp power lead) and hoses (including the connectors) are provided in the vehicle. This will give you easy, continuous access to fresh water and power throughout your stay.

The 240v mains power will let you use things like the microwave, electric kettle, heating system, and power outlets. We suggest plugging into mains power every 2 days because it’s a reliable way to recharge your house battery, which does most of the hard work in keeping your motorhome functioning at its best when you’re out adventuring. Solar is great! But if you’re experiencing cloudy weather it pays to be cautious.

As mentioned, the house battery (12-volt system) is going to be the hero of your holiday. It powers everything from the lights to the TV and fridge/freezer when you’re not plugged into your campsite’s mains.

The fridge/freezer is a 2-way model, which means it works on the campsite’s mains power or the house battery. The good news is that it will continue to stay cold even when you’re on the road (as long as you remember to charge your motorhome). Make sure you’re giving your fridge plenty of time to chill before you head off to the supermarket for your first shop—we don’t want any spoiled food.

But what about the rest of the kitchen? Don’t worry, we’ve got you sorted! The kitchen space is functional and easy to navigate, though a 3-course meal may be a bit ambitious given the limited bench space. The Cruisin’ 2 Berth Rover is a motorhome designed for simplicity, so with the 2-burner gas stove on offer, one or two pot meals are going to be your best choice.

When you hire a motorhome with Cruisin’, all your day-to-day necessities will be provided. Your cupboards will be fully stocked with cutlery, crockery, a toaster, kettles (both gas and electric), pots and pans, and more. If you’re keen to save money, we recommend bringing along some dry goods, herbs, spices, and storage containers from home. Tupperware is an investment, and we expect it’s not the type of souvenir you’re wanting to bring back home!

The eye-watering costs of quality kitchen goods is a conversation for later; let’s talk mealtime! The rear dinette is a flexible space, with a lightweight table that can be set up and removed as needed. Once you’ve got your food on plates, why not open up the back doors so that you can dine with a fresh breeze and great views!

You won’t have to go far to do the dishes either. The Cruisin’ 2 Berth Rover comes prepared with a sink (including running hot and cold water) that makes cleaning up a breeze. With your own onboard facilities, there’s no need to fight for dominance in the camp kitchen, and you won’t have to scoop out the scraps from the messy barbarians who did their dishes before you.

Once you’re done with dinner, it’s time to get cosy! Easily transform the dinette into a large bed, pop some popcorn in the microwave, and settle in for a movie night thanks to your Smart TV. Alternatively, the TV has an HDMI input, so you’re more than welcome to bring your own device (you can hotspot your phone if the campsite doesn’t have WiFi) and watch your chosen streaming service.

Or, if you prefer to read before bed, you’ll love the overhead lighting system!

We provide all your fresh linen, including doona, pillows, and cotton sheets – and towels! Speaking of towels, to make life even more comfortable you’ll have the added benefits of an onboard shower and toilet. Hello private warm shower, goodbye public bathroom horrors!

Let’s get technical for a moment. With a fuel consumption of 14 litres per 100 kilometres and an 80 litre fuel capacity, you’ll be able to get a good amount of adventuring done between fuel stops. Remember good driving techniques can make your fuel go further, so do your research if you need a bit of a refresh.

This is an automatic vehicle so you won’t have to worry about gears, but even simple things like avoiding backtracking, mindful acceleration, and using cruise control can help. Every cent you can save is welcome, and there are plenty of apps you can use to find the cheapest fuel stops.
