We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock. Our hearts and thoughts go out to everyone affected by this unfortunate event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities and governments around the world who are continuously working to safeguard us.
We are constantly monitoring travel restrictions and Australian government announcements and how they impact travel with Cruisin Motorhomes and GoCheap Campervans.
The Australian government is enforcing restrictions regarding visitors coming into the country and travel across state borders. We recommend that guests check travel advice from the https://www.health.gov.au/ regarding entering Australia or for guests traveling overseas, check https://www.smartraveller.gov.au/ before embarking on any journey
Entry into Australia – Travel restrictions
Effective from 9 pm AEDT 20 March 2020, only Australian citizens, residents and immediate family members can travel to Australia. All travelers to Australia are required to self-isolate for 14 days. We understand the disruption this is causing to your travels, so we’re currently offering a flexible travel option for anyone picking up before Wednesday 30th April 2020:
- Any cancellation fees will be applied as a credit towards a future booking
- The credit will also entitle you to 20% off the daily rental rate of this future booking
- There will be no amendment fees if the location, brand or vehicle differs from the current booking
- The credit will be valid for 24 months
If you booked with a travel agency or another third- party website, please contact them directly.
For new bookings- you can obtain a quote and make a booking through our website.
Cruisin branches are still open for people who are returning their vehicles early, for some cases of self-isolation, and the supply of self-contained motorhomes for people undertaking essential services. There is no refund for unused days.

Self-Isolation in a Motorhome
We recommend that guests keep up to date with updates from health and travel authorities, and do their research in regards to campgrounds/caravans parks, and their individual isolation rules.
Travelling Within Australia
State governments across Australia are relaxing travel restrictions in a staged approach. As on 29 May 2020, intrastate and interstate travel status for each state are as follows,
Intrastate Travel (travelling within your own state)
– New South Wales
From 1 June 2020 you will be allowed to travel anywhere across the state. Several caravan parks and camping grounds will also reopen.
– Victoria
Stage 4 restrictions have been reimposed in metro Melbourne and other regions. Please visit the Victorian Government website for the latest information.
– Queensland
From 01 June 2020 you will be able to travel up to 250 kms in your region for holidays including camping and staying overnight in tourist accommodations and caravan parks.
– Tasmania
From 15 June 2020 you will be allowed to travel intrastate for holiday and stay overnight in accommodations.
– Australian Capital Territory
From 1 June 2020 you will be allowed to travel within the state for recreation and holiday purposes.
– Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory
WA, SA and NT have closed access to certain vulnerable and remote communities and townships. Please refer to the official state government websites for the latest information.
Interstate Travel (travelling between states)
– ACT and VIC
State borders for these two states have remained open during the entire period. Interstate travel between these states
are allowed.
– NSW
State borders for NSW remain open for all states except Victoria.
– QLD
Interstate travel to be allowed from 10 July 2020 for all states except Victoria, NSW and ACT.
– TAS
Interstate travel is not allowed for non-essential travel.
– NT, WA and SA
Interstate travel is not allowed for non-essential travel.

In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures to ensure you can begin your journey safely and our staff have been trained on hygiene practices as set by WHO
COVID-19 Cleanliness Guarantee
Our cleaning and hygiene practices remains the highest priority. We have taken additional measures for cleaning and sanitizing our Vehicles based on the advice from the World Health Organization and National Health Authorities. We have increased the frequency of cleaning public pick up and drop of areas and hand sanitizer is available for guests and staff in our branches.
Social Distancing
The safety of our customers and team members is incredibly important to us. Where possible we aim to avoid unnecessary contact with people and maintain an appropriate distance. This will ensure the safety of our customers and our team.
