What is a relocation?


A relocation is where a passenger transfers our campervans and motorhomes from one Cruisin’ depot location to another.


Where can I relocate from?


Currently, our relocation’s are available from our Brisbane and Sydney branches to our Hobart branch.

Please note: If you would like to hire the Motorhome for longer than the maximum time (including the additional days), this is possible however you will pay the standard daily rate on the vehicle type for the remaining days.


What insurance will I pay?



Cruisin Motorhomes relocation rental charge includes a Standard Liability of $1000. A security Bond of $1000 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Agreement. Payment of this security bond is only accepted by credit card. The $1000 will be debited from the credit card account. A non-refundable administration fee equal to the merchant surcharge fee applies.
The Standard Liability can be reduced by purchasing the following Reduction Option:

Liability Reduction Option A $300 Liability applies. This Option can be purchased by paying Cruisin Motorhomes $39 per day. A security Bond of $300 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Agreement. Payment of this security bond is only accepted by credit card. The $300 will be debited from the credit card account. A non-refundable administration fee equal to the merchant surcharge fee applies.

 

Reduction Option: You pay $39 a day and Cruisin’ takes a credit card imprint of $300. You are liable up to $300.


Who pays for the Spirit of Tasmania (boat)?


If your relocation includes a free Spirit of Tasmania offer, Cruisin Motorhomes will book the cheapest available ship. We will pay the ship costs of the vehicle and the driver. Any extra passengers or accommodation upgrades will be at the renter’s expense. We will supply your ship booking number at the time of booking the relocation. Any accommodation or passenger changes can be made directly with Spirit of Tasmania on 1800 634 906 or visit www.spiritoftasmania.com.au


Can I upgrade to a cabin on the Spirit of Tasmania from my Ocean Recliner Seat?


Yes. You must contact Cruisin’ to inform our staff of an upgrade. If you both choose to sleep in a cabin instead of the Ocean Recliner Seat, Cruisin’ will not cover the additional costs.


Can I change the Spirit of Tasmania sailing dates?


Pick up and drop off dates are flexible, however passengers must board the Spirit with the motorhome on the date specified on booking. For a list of available sailing dates please see here. Relocations depend on the availability on the Spirit of Tasmania, so once you have locked in a date it cannot be altered.


Will the motorhome come with linen and equipment?


Yes. The motorhome will be equipped with linen and towels, kitchen and living equipment.


How many people can relocate the motorhome?


Due to restrictions, only two passengers may relocate our motorhomes, this applies across all motorhome types including 6 Berth vehicles.



How do I book the motorhome?


Before you book your relocation, please make yourself aware of the available dates. On booking, you will need to provide us with the below information;

  • The travel dates you are interested in
  • Your name and contact details
  • The information of any additional passengers travelling in an Ocean Recliner Seat on the Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal


Do I pay to a deposit?


To secure your relocation, Cruisin’ takes the entire rental amount on booking. The security deposit of $1000 is due on collection. 

Where do I pay for fuel?

Yes, the renter does need to pay the cost of fuel.
