These 5 tips for picking up your camping-car in Sydney will make sure that you are prepared for an easy collection, meaning you can hit the road and start your self-drive Australian adventure.
1. Organise parking for your car (if you’re a local)
If you’re driving to the Campervan Sydney office in Caringbah, it’s a great idea to think about where you’ll leave your car. Our office offers secure outdoor parking for $10 per day which can be organised at the office on the day. If you’re looking for under-cover parking you will find it just around the road at Hunter’s Storage. Contact them in advance in peak periods to secure your park for the duration of your holiday.
2. Make sure you have all key documentation
When you arrive at our office on the day, our friendly staff will ask all drivers to present their licences. The credit card holder will also need to show their card. All drivers and the credit card holder will be required to sign the rental agreement before they leave the office. If the driver or credit card holder is unavailable to collect from our Sydney branch, please contact Cruisin’ in advance on 1300 664 485 to organise alternate methods.
3. Update your collection time prior to arrival
If you are going to be picking up your vehicle at a different time to what is outlined on your rental agreement, please contact our reservations staff. It is important that we have accurate collection times so that we can make sure that you are still collection within operation hours and that we can manage waiting times at the office. 4. Know what’s included in your camper
If you know what your camper is equipped with than you won’t pack any unnecessary items. All Crusin’ hire vehicles come included with linen, towels, pillows, cutlery, crockery and living appliances. All you need to bring along are your own possessions (preferably packed in a backpack rather than a suitcase).
5. Contact your payment method for a smooth transaction
If your final balance is due at our campervan Sydney office on the day of collection it is important to organise your funds before you arrive to avoid delays at the office. This includes checking that the funds are available for use and making sure there is no daily limit that will prevent the transaction from processing.
