The countdown to the New Year is on with just days remaining of 2015 (eek!). Now is the time to reflect on the past year and start thinking about those pesky New Year’s resolutions (you know, the one’s you never keep). We’ve done the hard work for you this time, all you have to do is follow our lead and pencil in these simple yet achievable resolutions to make 2016 the best year yet.
It’s that simple. It doesn’t matter where you want to go, just go somewhere. Even if it’s exploring your own backyard. Travelling is a great way to meet people, experience new things and learn more about yourself. You get 4 weeks of annual leave per year – use it wisely! Travelling will allow you to experience life as adventure and will give you back that spark.
Spend quality time with your family
We’ve all seen that TV add that urges us to put down our mobile phones and get back to sitting around the table every night. This year make time for your family and learn how to disconnect from the digital world (if only for half an hour each day).
Take up a new hobby
Have you been meaning to start something new? 2016 is the year for you! Stop making excuses and start a new hobby today, whether it is joining a book club, teaching yourself how to cook or playing a sport. It’s also a great way to meet new people and establish long-term friendships with those who have similar interests.
Learn how to disconnect from your mobile phone (tablet, computer, blackberry – everything!)
In this modern world we have all become far too reliant on our digital devices and checking social media every other minute of the day. Learn how to live in the moment again and go without your phone, even if it is just one day of the month.
Reconnect with old friends
With life racing by, it can sometimes be difficult to stay in touch with those closest to you. Pencil time into your diary to contact your friends and stay in touch with regular catch ups or monthly dinners because there’s nothing quite like having a laugh and reminiscing with old friends.
